Rev. Sid Gunter is an honorably retired member of Cherokee Presbytery. Ordained in 1981, he served for 6 years as the Pastor of Nazareth Presbyterian Church in South Carolina and 27 years as the Pastor of Heritage Presbyterian Church in Acworth, Ga. 

           A graduate of Georgia Tech and Columbia Theological Seminary, he has been married to the love of his life, Joan Gunter, for almost 55 years. They have been blessed with three children and eight perfect grandchildren. 

           He is excited to be at Deer Creek Shores Presbyterian Church as it seeks to discern God's will for this church's future ministry in the days ahead.
